This research was written by C.A. Nijssen who works at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Utrecht University, Netherlands in the department of Equine Sciences and was written to see if the roller-toed shoes also ease the breakover in the hind limbs as they do in the front limbs.
This case study was performed by Axel Vibe for a time period of 3 months. The patient was a 9 month old warmblood gelding which had that had a contracted deep digital flexor tendon which developed into a grade 3 clubfoot.
This case study was executed by Aksel Vibe from November until January.
The patient was a 12 year old warmblood showjumper with a low plantar angle which Aksel treated in order to improve the condition of the horse.
