Ducketts dot

Duckett's dot  is named after the farrier Dave Duckett and it is one of the two points that help farriers to determine foot proportions. The dot is measured underneath the midline of  the coffin joint. This helps is find the centre of rotation it is normally about 3/8inch back from the apex of the frog.
