    Todd Walker, CJF, was born and raised in Houston, TX, where he spent his childhood playing sports and showing animals at the stock show. While on a summer break from college, Todd worked as a wrangler a cowboy camp in Bandera, TX, and this is where he fell in love with horses. That following spring he changed his course and attended Texas State Farrier School under Jay Watson. Upon graduation, Todd had the opportunity apprentice under two of the greatest names in industry, Kirk Caudle and Jim Jim sparked a competitive fire in Todd during their time together and he threw every free moment into competing and tool making. Todd then opened his own farrier practice in Georgetown, TX, in 2000, and has been shoeing all across central TX ever since! Todd was blessed with the opportunity to go on the culture exchange through the AFA in 2002, where he spent time with very talented people and attended many competitions. Todd competed in the Royal Show and became the first American to ever win the Therapeutic Shoe class! Back in the states, Todd's competitive spark was now a raging fire and he set a goal make the American Farriers Team. He made the team that year and the next 6 years in a row, and had the opportunity to compete alongside some of the greatest competitors in the industry. Individually, Todd made the Top Ten in the World Championships as well as the Stoneleigh Individual. Todd made the WCB Team in its first two years of existence and was awarded the very first "Striker the Year" award! Todd and his wife, Kimberly, now live in the Hill Country and they have 6 beautiful children.
