High speed games on horseback
An horseshoe with a good profile is recommended
Mounted games is a branch of equestrian sport in which very fast games are played by people of all ages on ponies up to a height of 15 hands (60 inches, 152 cm).
They require a high degree of athletic ability, good riding skills, hand-to-eye coordination, determination, perseverance, and a competitive spirit, which nevertheless requires an ability to work together with other riders and a willingness to help one another.

Horse characteristics
Small, manoeuvrable riding horses and ponies are used in the sport. A mounted games horse must be fast and have strong nerves.
Horses behaviour
For this sport there is no particular breed of horse but the horses used are characterised by a balanced temperament.
Shoeing location
Mounted games horses can be shod at the usual places.
Advice
Because mounted games horses are ridden fast with many changes in direction, the shoe should not be too wide or too long in order to reduce the danger of injury and prevent the shoe from being cast. It is recommended to choose a shoe with a good profile such as the St. Croix Eventer, St. Croix Advantage or St. Croix Polo shoe.
